From SHINE to EXCEED: Megaworld International Holds Strategic Planning Conference

It was not the perfect shiny weather everyone was expecting, but not even Typhoon Tisoy will break the spirit of the people inspired to take action.

Last December 2 to 4, Megaworld International held its annual strategic planning conference at Tagaytay Twin Lakes Hotel. The said conference was spearheaded by Megaworld International’s Senior Vice President, Ms. Maria Victoria Acosta. Territory heads from Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and North America regions were present together with the MWI group heads and key employees.

The 3-day event kicked off by the unveiling of the division’s thrust for 2020, which is: Exceed!; and is inspired from a bible verse in Psalm 84:7, “They go from strength to strength”. During Ms. Acosta’s opening remark, she highlighted the importance of increasing our visibility while empowering others to lead and staying committed to our core values and purpose.

Departmental training sessions were also conducted during the day which dissected some policies, tweaked some procedures and celebrated milestones towards a more efficient process. Territory heads have also presented their accomplishment reports, sales strategies and future plans which everybody could learn from.

The Training and Business Development Group was represented by SAVP Gerard Vito. Training report was delivered by John Peñaflor and Maq Agapito for Business Development.

Core group managers have joined the territory heads on the second day of the session for the team building activity. After a thought-provoking session in the morning, participants had a down time in preparation for the Megaworld International Christmas party in the afternoon. One of the highlights of the Christmas Party was the awarding of the traditional Bakya Awards, presented by Training and Business Group, which recognizes unique characters within the company.

The last day was a one-on-one session of all regions with our Senior Vice President to discuss their strategic plans and other propositions concerning their respective regions.

Over-all, the three-day session was a resounding success! Not only the participants were able to strategize, plan, and enjoy but it surely has cultivated a deep sense of family –a trait Megaworld International proudly embraces.
