The Ambassadors Arrive in Manila!

During the first quarter of 2019, through the initiative of Megaworld International Senior Vice President Ms. Maria Victoria M. Acosta, the first-ever global search for The Megaworld Ambassadors commenced in all the regions. This aims to promote the Megaworld brand all over the world with the use of social media and other online platforms. Certain qualifications were set and exciting prizes were promoted by the marketing team, thus creating excitement for all of those who wanted to join this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Every region held its own contest. The Middle East 1 team, which was televised in the local news, had Ms. Acosta as their special guest and judge. Other regions followed with their selection of winners.

In no particular order, here are the official winners for the said contest:

As Megaworld International welcomes the new year, they also welcomed the arrival of these ambassadors and some of the runners-up.

The 22nd to the 28th of January was a week filled with exciting and memorable events for us and for the ambassadors. They were billeted to world-class accommodations – Megaworld's condotels in Newport City.

The first day was the official meet and greet with the Megaworld International group heads who presented their prizes. It was followed by a sumptuous lunch at Centro, a wine tasting inside Dalmore’s showroom, and a tour around Uptown Bonifacio. After a full schedule in the morning, the Training and Business Development Group (TBDG) sponsored a special training for them.

The following day was a time to share love with the little kids of McDonald’s Bahay Bulilit in Quezon City. With the assistance of the group heads and marketing team, the ambassadors did storytelling, games, and dances and initiated a feeding program. Afterwards, the ambassadors were treated to a feast at the Richmonde Hotel in Eastwood City.

The highlight of the second day, aside from making a difference to those children, was the quick meet and greet with Chairman Dr. Andrew L. Tan, Chief Strategy Officer Kevin L. Tan, as well as Ms. Acosta at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.

The third day was the exclusive tripping for the ambassadors around the Metro Manila projects. Spearheaded by Sales Assistant Jobin Baquiran, they were able to absorb in-depth information which could be helpful in promoting the brand. They were also able to experience the Venice of the Philippines when they were given the opportunity to visit, dine, and enjoy the gondola ride at McKinley Hill.

All bags were packed the next day as the ambassadors flew to the different township developments outside Luzon. Trainer Jolo accompanied both Mr. Pardo and Mr. Galagar in Iloilo. Meanwhile, trainer Gerard conducted the immersion for Ms. Tan in Boracay while Sales Assistant Ashley facilitated the tour for Ms. Downes in Cebu. The said trainers became the creative directors in taking shots and videos of the ambassadors inside the townships. It was indeed a memorable event for them having to experience the amenities and world-class lifestyle of Mactan Newtown, Iloilo Business Park, and Boracay Newcoast.

As they return to their respective regions, they will bring with them the fun memories they had in our township developments, the learnings from the immersion and training, and more importantly, the new friendships that were built.
