MWI goes to Canada and USA!

The phrase “Follow your North Star” means stick to your important mission in life and try to accomplish it. This mission is assigned to me by our Senior Vice-President, Ma'am Marivic Acosta.

Last September, I was deployed to two North American regions namely, North America 2 and North America 4.

The first immersion was a success. The new Toronto office was inaugurated last September 21, 2019 which was witnessed by clients, agents, and key political figures in Toronto. It is strategically located at the Filipino Centre Toronto in Sheppard Avenue East.

After the inauguration, daily training sessions and meetings with clients were conducted in the new office. Roadshows also took place for both Filipino-Canadians and Chinese-Canadians who are interested to invest in the Philippines.

Mr. Ramon Estaris, the territory head for North America 2, sees a bright future for his region with a new Country Manager, Assistant Country Managers and dedicated networks who will help him achieve the desired sales targets.

From North America 2, I headed onto events for our North America 4 Team under Vice-President Katrina Benfer. For the group, October marks the start of a busy month. One of the highlights was the Philippine Pride Day in Jacksonville held last October 5, 2019.

This annual occasion is similar to a Barrio Fiesta. Filipino-American visitors in Jacksonville gathered to celebrate their identity as Filipinos through cultural performances, food, and even the Philippine real estate industry. Megaworld International is a proud sponsor of the said event and had the chance to give a privilege talk. The North America 4 team was able to showcase the advantages of investing in the Philippines through the world-class developments of Megaworld Corporation.

From Jacksonville, the team headed for Orlando and Fort Lauderdale and mounted equally successful events last October 11 & 20, 2019, respectively. As for me in my last few days of deployment, I will be conducting a series of training sessions and roadshows for New Jersey and New York.
